Patch & Brine Making a difference

At Patch and Brine we strive to educate consumers about sustainability and current negative manufacturing fashion practices.

As a 2020 start-up, we try to make a difference to the environment through sustainable fashion and raising people’s attitude towards making better choices. We all have the power to make active choices about what we wear, which makes sustainable fashion vital to our sustainable future.

Patch and Brine achieve this through our three founding principles…Rethink. Retrieve. Recreate.

  • Rethink and understand the impact of our actions on the environment from plastic use and unsustainable practices. Rethink how we use these materials and our consumption behaviours while encouraging sustainable practices via concepts such recycling plastics (soft and hard), composting, planting trees, reducing our footprint.

At Patch and Brine we want to encourage our consumers and the businesses we engage with to become part of the ‘Circular Economy’ - moving away from a linear production and consumption model to one that is circular and involves sharing, recycling and recreating existing materials and products that stay in circulation for as long as possible.

  • Retrieve by aligning ourselves with manufacturers that rescue materials such as PET bottles, textiles from our environment, and reducing waste to landfill.

  • Recreate garments and products that we can use all use in everyday including fashion.

Did you know? 59% less energy is used in the production of products when recycled bottles are sourced vs using virgin materials (Swiss Federal Office for the environment).
